New research explores securitised Return Policies in Slovenia

New research by Veronika Bajt from the Peace Institute explores how return and readmission policies are implemented at the margins of the European Union.

Published in Critical Sociology, the article examines the gap between human rights commitments and legal frameworks on the one hand, and the realities of their implementation on the ground in Slovenia on the other. It highlights how return policies can become increasingly shaped by security concerns, raising important questions about the protection of migrants’ rights.
