New research from the MORE project sheds light on the complex realities faced by young migrants who return to their countries of origin after migrating to Europe.
Drawing on the voices of 340 participants across six countries, the study reveals the emotional, social, and economic challenges that shape return and reintegration experiences, while highlighting practical recommendations from returnees, families, and communities themselves. By placing young people’s perspectives at the center, this report provides valuable insights to inform more humane, effective, and sustainable return and reintegration policies.
